Word Explosion January 2003
Our 10 day trip to Elaine, Arkansas for our first annual "Word Explosion Conference" in January 2003 was absolutely Powerful!
We had a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the area of revelation, understanding and restoration. Some of the Key things that God ministered to the congregation was in the area of: Segregation, breaking the walls down, The Tabernacle Experience, Approaching God on His terms.
Since our last visit 6 months ago, the worship team has continued to develop and grow in their gifting and sensitivity in discerning the move of the Holy Spirit during the service. This increase has come in part to each worship member growing in their fellowship with the Lord.
God is truly bringing the Body of Christ together in Elaine, Arkansas. We enjoyed the ingathering of several different ministries represented during the Word Explosion Conference. God brought believers of all color and race in one place under the same roof and we worshipped God as a true family of believers. I believe this is prophetic of what God is doing in this region where hard to believe, but segregation still is very much present. I believe that God is truly bringing His people together irrespective of their color or race. I know first hand that God was convicting the hearts of His people to deal with this issue personally in their own lives. Much progress was made as people surrendered to the Lord's will and repented for not discerning the Lord's body rightly. It was a precious and Beautiful work of the Holy Spirit.
We have also continued to Position the IMI Fellowship, Elaine for continued growth this year. Our plans are to build an IMI Publishing Center and Bible Training Center. Currently we are looking for land to facilitate all of the ministry outreaches of the Church. We are currently in search of approximately 30 acres within Elaine that will be able to accommodate all of our ministry projects for this town. We believe that within the next few years that Elaine, AR. will be reaching into the far regions of the US and abroad through their various outreach and training programs.
There were several opportunities for ministry in the nearby town of Helena and W. Helena. In one instance the Holy Spirit by divine appointment told me to stop and visit a pastor. As I began to operate in the Word of Knowledge the Holy Spirit ministered marvelously to this Pastor and his wife. Little did I know until they revealed it to me that they were in day three of a five day fast trying to hear from God as to whether or not they should shut their ministry down and relocate. Their own admission was that God answered every question that the Pastor had been seeking the Lord on, including secret questions he had not even shared with his wife. The wife also said the same exact thing. And all I had to do was be obedient to the Holy Spirit's leading. Now that's Powerful! Needless to say, they are staying!
I also had the opportunity to pray and minister to a precious inner city Pastor in Helena. God is doing some huge things in this man's life. What a powerful man of God. God is getting ready to deliver an entire city block into this man's hands, why? Because he's going to need it to carry out the vision God has given him for his city. I believe it is already a done deal as far as God is concerned. Amen!

Our Trip to Elaine, Arkansas in May

These are photos of the church we went to in Elaine, Arkansas.
This was a domestic missions project for the whole family. All of our children
were involved in various aspects of work within the church.
Our Initial project was to rewire most of the classrooms in the rear of the church and to make fold-out classroom offices for the new school program. However, after careful analysis it was determined that much of the wiring in this facility needed to be desperately upgraded. So, we spent the first week rewiring as much of the church building as possible, concentrating on the most critical areas first. We also added some enhancements by providing three way switches where necessary and installed all new grounded receptacles in each classroom and in the church sanctuary.
Our second week was spent working by day to build the school office desks for the main classroom, and at night, taping and spackling damaged walls or painting.
IMI is so graciously thankful for the use of the local True-value hardware store's private wood shop. With out their tools and free use of the shop we would have never been able to complete our project with the quality of workmanship we provided. Thank you Elaine True-Value Hardware. May God richly bless you for your kindness.
When we weren't working on these projects, we were in church assisting the worship team in their efforts to bring together the praise team. My daughter Rebecca, and I spent several late nights during our stay helping the worship team be all that God is anointing them to be. We saw many positive things happen with our musicians and singers as they yielded their gifts to the Lord. Rebecca also worked with the youth in the area of special music. The youth sang several special songs during their Evangelistic meetings during the first week we were there.
I also had the opportunity to do some preaching while I was their. I taught on the subject of "Knowing who you are in Christ and His Righteousness.
We finally completed all that we had set out to do for this small town church and were happy to fellowship with the Pastor and his wife as His church honored them on Pastor Appreciation Day. Lots of fellowship, food food food, and a hymn sing to put the finishing touches on a wonderful day.
I want to thank all of the people at Elaine Church of God for embracing my family and I with open arms and your beautiful spirit of giving. We were so touched with the special picnic basket full of wonderful delights that y'all sent us home with. We have made many wonderful friends and look forward to the time we can come back and bless you with God's Word again.
