Home Groups

IMI Home Cell Groups are a integral grassroots part of Impact Ministries International. Under Article 5 and Section 6 of our Impact Ministries International Articles we have established:

Twelve Plus One Colleges for Study and Worship; School of Ministry.

Encouraged by the practices of our ancestors including the high spiritual practices of the Christian Bible, The Office of the Presiding Chaplain of Impact Ministries International and His Successors, a corporation sole is inspired by the Most High God and thereby empowered to create and participate in small cell groups of worship of members (sometimes described as "colleges" or "home cell Groups") for the development and study of the Word of God by the ekklesia ("those who have been called out") as well as the establishment of a school of ministry and discipleship training, as we are called out to lead a life above and beyond the world while we remain in it.   This power comprehends that The Presiding Chaplain of Impact Ministries International is a divinely instituted unity of people, united by Christian faith in the Most High God and the Holy Mysteries carefully excluding any manmade hierarchy within The Presiding Chaplain of Impact Ministries International and Fellowships. It is dually noted the each distinguished college or home group is recognized as an intricate facet of the local Body of Believers and not to be an exclusive group unto themselves.

What is an IMI Home Cell Group?

An IMI home cell is a small group of people usually starting with 3 or 4 who agree to come together on a weekly or bi-monthly basis for the purpose of Bible Study, Worship, Testimony and Prayer in a home atmosphere of fellowship. As the group grows to twelve then the Home-group leader will raise up another home-group leader and the existing home cell group will then split into two groups of 6 and 6. Every time a group reaches 12 people it will be time to split again and so on, and so on.  It is easy to see one single group could ultimately produce well over 100 plus people in one years time.  Just stop and consider that 8 groups of 12 is 96 people. 12 groups of 6 is again 96 people.  When there are 4 or more IMI home cell groups in a regional area we can then prayerfully consider Planting an IMI Fellowship in that town or city.

What is the focus of an IMI Home Cell Group?

First and foremost all IMI Home groups are designed to provide Christian fellowship and personal interconnections with other believers in the group. The focus of the home cell group will be to enable each member to grow in their understanding and application of God's Holy Word and find encouragement and strength to be a witness for the Lord.  Consequently, we find that sharing of ones testimony with one another of how God is using them for His Glory is very often an empowerment to others in their daily Christian walk of faith. Sometimes these testimonies are the very words of encouragement that keeps a believer staying hooked up in faith instead of quitting while God is moving in their circumstances. Ultimately the focus of all IMI home cell groups is to reproduce in like kind.

What will an IMI Home Cell Group do for me?

IMI Home Cell Group will help you to develop close personal relationships with those within your group.  You will also be equipped to learn how to share Christ with someone, just simply using your testimony of what Jesus has done for you. It will also provide for you the opportunity to do the work of the ministry by being a minister of reconciliation.  You will also have others within your group that will be praying for you each and every day on your behalf.  These are people that know you, love you and want to see God's best for you.

What is an IMI Home Cell Group meeting like?

IMI home cell group format consists of a meeting that will last approximately one hour to hour and a half long.  The meeting will have 4 key areas of function.

  1. Bible Study and Discussion
  2. Worship and Testimony
  3. Praying for one another and our nation and other countries
  4. Fellowship

How can I start an IMI Home Cell Group?

To start a IMI Home Cell Group all you have to have is a willing heart and be able to follow the simple format of 1,2,3,4 as outlined above.  It is not necessary for you to be a preacher or for you to have a teaching gift.  You don't even have to have the meeting in your own home.  It could be in another persons home.

If you would like information on becoming an Impact Ministries International Home Group in your area, you are invited to contact our ministry via email:  imi-office@impactministries-int.net  to receive an application for membership.   Send us your contact information and tell us in your email that you are interested in becoming an IMI Home Group.   After we have received your email request, IMI will send you a private pass code to access an on line application form to be filled out by the person requesting membership.   Once you have filled out your application and sent it back to our ministry office we will then process it and schedule you for a private consultation with Brother Andrew or one of our Senior Chaplains.
